Caged Spirits
Do not douse the fire
In the spirit that yells
Of life inside you
It is caged
And its captor is you
Do not try to tame it
Nor exhume it
For it will only grow
Restless and seeking
Its way out
Give it
Freedom
Do not meddle with crime
And perils
Sprint while time is fit
And regret is nigh
She awaits
Do not perpetuate it
Relentlessly feeding
Empty hopes
And shallow graves of
Spirits that once was
Full of life
Do not set your heart
On sorrow
There is deliverance
And you are set on high
Do not allow them
To become like you
Trapped, enraged
With eyes that scream red
And a blackout of thoughts
Unpredictable
Do not cross the line
