Mr. and Ms. SBE 2014
The Mr and Ms SBE pageant with the theme: International Communities served as the finale of the SBE Week. It was held at the gym in the Main campus to showcase the students’ beauty and talents. The event started at 7PM with the Invocation and the Philippine anthem. The event began with the candidates parading in the ethnic costumes of the countries they represented. The contestants then showcased their organization’s shirts, their course outfit, and formal wear respectively. The Tres Divas, JV Sepe, The Exporter, The USC Dance Club and Y Direction became a source of relaxation amidst the tensioned coliseum. During the Formal Wear, the female contestants were serenaded by JV Sepe and Kaila Guma sung for the male contestants.
Before the awarding ceremony for the winners of the pageant, the SBE Cup was awarded to SHOTS.
The Second Runner-up were contestants Renan Urbiztondo of JPIA (who won Best in Formal Wear and a certificate from AD Models Homme et Femme) and Paula Ocaja of CARES (who was awarded with Ms Lecit-E, Ms Social Media, The People’s Choice, Best in Corporate wear and a certificate from AD Models Homme et Femme). The First Runner-up were Mr. Raed Al-Sughayer of SHOTS (who won Mr Lecit-E and Best in Casual Wear) and Ms Shannen Tabanao of SYBEE (who won Best in Production Number). The contestants who nabbed the crown were Mr Christian Patrimonio of SHOTS and Ms Monique Roa of SYBEE. The crown was passed on from last year’s winner Mr Jonathan Maxim Po and Ms Brigette Burato.
It was made possible by the following student organizations CARES (Carolinian Economic Society), JPIA (Junior Philippine Institute Accountant), SHOTS (Students for Hospitality Organization and Tourism Services), and SYBEE (Society of Young Business Executive and Entrepreneur). The dance numbers of the contestants were choreographed by Val Sandiego of Sandiego Dance.
