SMED-SESO Science Month Exhibits 2013
In celebration of the National Science Month, an exhibit and play with the theme, Connetia 2013 – Vanquishing Challenges, Concatenating Divergence was held today, September 24, 2013 at the Talamban Campus SMED AVR.
The activity was organized by the University’s Science and Mathematics Education Department (SMED) with the Science Education Students’ Organization (SESO) of the University of San Carlos. SMED and SESO prepared this annual exhibit to promote science and mathematics education by inviting high school students, especially fourth years. Included in the schools invited to view the half-day exhibit and play are USC North Campus and South Campus high school students, St. Louis College-Cebu, San Remigio National High School and Ubay Science High School from Bohol. The activities ran through September 23 to the 24th, with their last showing and exhibit in the afternoon of the last day of the exhibit.
Among the things prepared for the exhibit was an interpretative number that served as an opening and greeting to the guests and students who were lining up in the SMED building. The SMED building had designated rooms for their exhibit of different science related shows for the first two and a half hours followed by a play which ran for another two and a half hours.
Both activities were open to everyone interested with no need for any registration or fees. This event also coincided and was incorporated with this year’s TC Days 2013 activities.
