University King and Queen 2016

Several universities came together on March 15, 2015 for first ever University King and Queen. The pageant was held at the Aznar Coliseum of Southwestern University.
Genexus, a community organization, organized this inter-university pageant for a cause. With the theme “Who Will Reign?”, the winners had the option of choosing any benefactor and begin their reigns as University King and Queen by practicing the advocacies they campaigned for in their promotional videos.
University of the Philippines’ Trisha Maie Apa-ap was crowned as University Queen and Kevin Laurel Perez of Cebu Doctors University was crowned as University King. Aside from winning the crown, Apa-ap also bagged the Best in University Costume Award. And Perez snagged a number of awards including: Best in Production Number, Mr. Friendship, Mr. Social Media and Best in Formal Wear.
Next to University of the Philippines Cebu, University of San Jose Recoletos-Basak Campus and Cebu Institute of Technology-University garnered the first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively, for the female category. And for the male category, the University of San Carlos-Main Campus was the first runner-up and Cebu Institute of Technology-University was second runner-up.
The representatives from Downtown Campus were Marybel Sabando, a BS HRM 2 student and Neal Austin Sia, BS HRM 3. For Talamban Campus, Dwynne Oieschia Divera, BS Psychology 2 and Paul Reynier, AB Sociology represented the school; who were the first runner-ups of Mr. and Ms. TC 2015 as well.
The other universities who participated were: University of San Jose Recoletos (Basak and Main Campus), University of Cebu (Banilad and Main Campus), University of the Visayas, Southwestern University and Cebu Institute of Technology-University.
