CEC holds Engineering Organization Conference 2015

The Collegiate Engineering Council (CEC) conducted the annual Engineering Organizations Conference, a four-hour event at the Robert Hoepner Hall last June 6. This was attended by the executive committees and other officers of each student organization from the School of Engineering.
The main purpose of this event was to establish a stronger relationship between the organizations through presenting the calendar of activities and thus avoid conflicts of the schedules proposed by each organization.
Before the event-proper, the event-proper, the president of CEC, Jefferson Ombe, explained why ‘College of Engineering’ is changed to ‘School of Engineering’. He also added that CEC will implement the Student Relations Committee Grievances
Furthermore, Ombe, as the head of the highest engineering organization, elaborated the major activities of CEC. The monthly ones are the Tutorials, Trivia Thursdays, Blood Letting, and Recognition of Dean’s listers. In June, there will be Sports Clinics, Parent’s Recollection, launching of Grievances System, SO Revive, Nutrition Month Celebration. August will be offering Engineering Pride and Athlete’s night; In September, we will be expecting TC Days, Flair, Mr and Ms TC, and Cebu City Clean-up (with Let’s Do it Philippines!). The only activity in October will be the reach-out program in GK Dumanjug. November will be having TC League and the rebuilding of Dumanjug Library. The Giving Tree and Our Noel will remain during the month of December. Mind Olympics and Engineering Conference will welcome the new year. In February, Spirit of the Game, Engineering League, Love Days and St. Anthony Home for the Aged Visit will be taking place. For the last month of this Academic Year, March, the end will be as good as having Engineering Week, Call out, Engineering Solutions, Women’s Month and Open House in TC.
The rest of the organizations presented their respective schedules in this order: Civil Engineering Council, Association of Civil Engineering Students, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Chemical Engineering Council, Chemical Engineering Club, Chemical Engineering Society, Electronics and Communication Engineering Council Electrical Engineering Council, Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – USC Student Chapter, Society of Circuit Researchers, The Students’ Electronics Society, Computer Engineering Council, Computer Driven Enthusiasts, Industrial Engineering Council, Mechanical Engineering Council, and The Engineering Times.
