Dancing to the Beat @ COSMOS: A Night of DJs
As part of the annual TC Days, the second night “Cosmos: A Night of DJs” of the weeklong celebration got a crowd of enthusiastic students from their respective colleges all together.
The event started off with a dance number from Kinesyx, the winner of the pop jazz competition at the closing ceremony of USC Days 2014, in behalf of the Ayos Dito team. Seemingly blinding lights of varying colors illuminated the basketball court of Talamban Campus accompanied by loud party music which set every Carolinian party animal’s feet on dance rhythm.
As a program starter, the Ayos Dito team gave away Ayos Dito shirts to a pool of Carolinians by throwing the shirts to the crowd. They also let the students have free ice cream from their stall throughout the event period.
DJs Gil, Jam, Maw, Sean, Toffi J., and Gio V. brought the BCT floors to life with their life-filled music which kept every person in the place moving to the beat. The lighting gave a club-like touch to the ecstatic scene going on and traces of enjoyment can be seen on the faces of those participating the event.
Water was sprinkled and handfuls of flour were thrown by random persons to the sea of people who seemed to be having the time of their lives on the dance floor, leaving them “wet and white” instead of “wet and wild”.
The night grew old with nonstop movement and screams from the cheerful crowd. Indications of a fun-filled evening were at sight.
Despite having classes the following day, numerous Carolinians still attended the event and made the best out of it. By 9 in the evening, the COSMOS event was put to an end.
