It is a playful satire on the 19th Century conditions of the British Empire and the Victoria referred to the song is no other than Her Majesty herself. The lyrics are a fun and somehow joyful presentation of the Victorian Age that has its high and low points. It presents the grim and glory coexisted at the time. The song itself can stir up the feelings of uncertainty and the rush of emotions with the use of the good tandem of lyrics and tune. “What are you holding out for? What’s always in the way? Why so damn absent-minded? Why so scared of romance?” – The lyrics pretty much sums up the feelings of entering or leaving a relationship.
